KS2 Gymnastics Festival 🤸♀️
This exciting KS2 Gymnastics Festival offers a fun rotation of gymnastics activities including balance beams, vaulting, floor sequences, bars and multiskills/conditioning. Pupils will explore movement, build confidence and develop coordination 🌟
Objective:
To introduce key gymnastic movements and skills in a fun and supportive environment- helping children develop balance, strength and coordination through physical activity. 💪
Intent:
Championing physical literacy and enjoyment of movement while promoting inclusive participation in fundamental gymnastics skills.
Target Audience:
One RSVP per school- admits 5 pupils from Year 3 &4
Please select pupils who:

Are less confident in physical activity or gymnastics

Would benefit from trying something new and structured
-
Can participate in a team environment with support
-
Will represent the school in a mature and respectful manner

Are excited to explore movement and coordination through play and challenge!
Event Format:
-
Pupils will rotate through a variety of gymnastics stations, including:
➤ Balance Beams
➤ Vaulting
➤ Floor Sequences
➤ Bars
➤ Conditioning / Multiskills Activities
Logistics:
-
Arrival from 9:15am for a full safety briefing and warm-up at 9:30am

Pupils must be barefoot and wear comfortable sporty clothing or PE kits

Jewellery must be removed and long hair tied back for safety

Bring plenty of water and a snack if needed
-
No previous gymnastics experience required
