Y4-Y6 Small Swimming Gala

Please only book on if you are a small school, sign up to the large school waiting list if there is no space.
Objective:
Promote success and achievement
Improve knowledge and understanding of sport and physical activity
Championing physical literacy
Target Audience:
Children that want to swim for their school team in a competitive environment 🏊♂️
Children that are less confident swimmers and want to take part in the Aqua Splash 💦
Please select pupils who:
-
- Can swim competently for 25 meters (Gala)
- Are less confident swimmers and want to experience being in a pool in a pressure free, fun environment (Aqua).
- Will represent the school in a mature and respectful manner.
Event Format:
- Pupils will compete against other schools in 2 heats.
- Children will compete for individual and team placings
- All equipment will be provided, and the competition will be run by qualified CSSP staff
Logistics:
- Pupils should wear swimming costume, goggles, hat and bring a t-shirt with them.
- A water bottle is required. Under NO circumstances may energy drinks & juice be brought onto pool side
- Schools are responsible for their own transport and supervision.
Key Outcomes:
- Experiencing a competition environment.
- Develop competence in the water.
- Show respect to all others involved.

Bikeability and Competition Manager
I manage and deliver an annual calendar of school sport competitions and the bikeability programme across all our schools. I take immense satisfaction in positively impacting children’s lives and nurturing their passion for sports, drawing from my own experiences as a former international athlete. When I’m not working, I love baking and outdoor adventures, especially those that involve a picnic!
