Small Schools Football Final

To be eligible to enter the Small Schools’ Cup, the affiliated school must have not more than 95 pupils on roll in Years 4, 5 and 6, and not more than 65 pupils in Years 5 and 6 (in total) as of 1st September, in the current playing season. Schools that qualify for the Small Schools’ Cup may enter that competition OR the Schools’ Cup for School Teams – not both. The ESFA has been given dispensation by The FA to operate a three-year age band in this competition only.

Objective:

Promote success and achievement

Target Audience:

Children that want to play football for their school team in a competitive environment

Please select pupils who:

    • Have an understanding of the football rules.
    • Will represent the school in a mature and respectful manner.

Event Format:

  • Pupils will compete against other small schools in a league style format.
  • The top teams in each pools will reach the semi final 🏆
  • Those not through to the semi finals will play friendly matches. 
  • All equipment will be provided, and the competition will be run by qualified CSSP staff

Logistics:

  • Pupils should wear football boots / trainers, anything except metal studs are allowed.
  • A water bottle is required. Under NO circumstances may energy drinks & juice be brought onto the pitch 💦
  • Teams should bring their own football to warm up with.
  • Shin Pads and Goalkeeper gloves MUST be worn.
  • Football kits / school PE kit to be worn with the goalkeeper being in different colours.
  • Schools are responsible for their own transport and supervision.

  • Encourage teamwork and resilience.
  • Show respect to all others involved.
