Wellbeing Festival KS3🌿✨

 

This exciting KS3 Wellbeing Festival offers pupils the chance to step away from the classroom, enjoy the outdoors and take part in a range of fun, engaging wellbeing and enrichment activities. The festival provides an opportunity to reset, recharge and connect with others.

Objective: To provide pupils with a positive brain break from school, supporting their physical, mental and emotional wellbeing through a variety of enjoyable outdoor experiences.

Intent: Improving health & wellbeing and encouraging 60 active minutes.

Target Audience: One RSVP per school – admits 8 pupils from KS3.

Please select pupils who:

  • Would benefit from a positive break from the school environment
  • May benefit from opportunities to relax, reset and recharge
  • Enjoy working with others and taking part in new experiences
  • Would benefit from developing confidence, communication and teamwork skills
  • Can participate positively and respectfully in a group environment
  • Will represent the school in a mature and respectful manner

Event Format:

Pupils will rotate through a variety of outdoor wellbeing and enrichment experiences, including:

➤ Teamwork & Outdoor Adventure Activities
➤ Outdoor Creative Challenges
➤ Outdoor Fitness & Movement
➤ Reset Yoga & Mindfulness

Logistics:

  • Arrival from 9:40am for a 10am start
  • Activities will take place outdoors, so pupils should come prepared for the weather
  • Pupils should wear comfortable, sporty clothing or PE kits and suitable outdoor footwear
  • Jewellery must be removed and long hair tied back where appropriate
  • Bring plenty of water and a snack if needed

I deliver Bikeability training and after-school clubs and locally I spearhead the national initiative to ensure equal opportunities for girls in football and oversee our holiday camps. What motivates me is witnessing children surpass their own expectations. Outside of work, I enjoy playing rugby union and taking my two dogs for walks.
