Cheerleading- Coached Competition 📣

Bring the energy, noise and your school spirit! At this coached competition, school teams will learn a cheer routine from a specialist coach before performing in front of experienced judges for scoring — with a chance to win medals and celebrate teamwork, creativity and confidence! 🎉

Objective:
To build confidence, coordination, and teamwork through cheerleading and creative movement in a fun and inclusive environment.

Intent:
To build social skills and connections ie sense of belonging 🙌

Target Audience:
One RSVP per school admits a team of up to 10 pupils from Years 3, 4, 5 & 6.

Please select pupils who:

Enjoy movement, rhythm, or performing
Can work well in a team environment
May benefit from confidence-building through group performance
Are open to trying new experiences and being creative

Boys and girls are equally encouraged to participate

Event Format:

A specialist coach will teach each team a cheerleading routine and elements of cheer
Teams will perform the routine in front of judges for scoring
Schools must prepare a 30-second school chant in advance (e.g. school name, motto, colours)
Pom poms provided – but numbers may be limited, so please bring your own if available
Medals awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place
Certificates of participation for all pupils
