Leadership – Invasion Festival – Outdoor

Objective:
Develop leadership, character, life skills
Create positive experiences
Build social skills and connection
Improve knowledge and understanding of sport and physical activity
Target Audience:
Each school is invited to nominate a mixed-gender team of 10 pupils from Key Stage 2 who are capable but not elite athletes.
Event Format:
- Pupils will take part in a series of different invasion games and skill-building activities.
- These may include adapted versions of games like handball, basketball, or dodgeball.
- The event will be a carousel of inclusive, non-competitive games and challenges.
- All equipment will be provided.
- The event will be run by qualified CSSP staff.
- Leaders will be involved with helping to set up the equipment stations, manning a station, coaching pupils and communicating with teachers and pupils.
Logistics:
- Leaders should wear trainers.
- A water bottle is required. Under NO circumstances may energy drinks & juice be brought.
- School PE kit to be worn.
- Leaders are responsible for their own transport.

I deliver Bikeability training and after-school clubs and locally I spearhead the national initiative to ensure equal opportunities for girls in football and oversee our holiday camps. What motivates me is witnessing children surpass their own expectations. Outside of work, I enjoy playing rugby union and taking my two dogs for walks.
