Cross Country A Huge Hit

Boys and girls across Chorley competed in the Chorley SSP cross country event on the 21/3/2015.  With races for Y3/4 girls and boys and Y5/6 girls and boys, with a fun run to finish the day off.  The weather started off poor as team blue and their counterparts from INEOS Go Run for Fun started the set up of the event.  But by race time it was glorious sunshine, ideal running weather some might say!  In total over 800 children ran in one of the races or fun run, competing for individual and team awards.  Every runner was awarded a t-shirt and medal for taking part.

A big thank you goes out to the schools and teaching staff for giving up their own time to bring the children to the event and also to parents.  Also a big thank you to the many volunteers and young leaders, as without them events like this couldn't go ahead.
