Congratulations to St Michael's KS3 and KS4 badminton teams who successfully fought off the local schools to win both the boys and girls competitions in both key stages. The four teams went on to respresent Chorley in the County Round of the National Schools Badminton Championships at Robin Park, Wigan in early January.
St Michael's KS4 boys finished a creditable 7th place in a tough competition and the KS3 boys completed their matches in 4th place.
The KS3 St Michael's girls fought hard to take the gold medals narrowly beating Hodgson High School 3 games to 2 in a very tense final. They now go on to represent Lancashire in the next round of the competition.
The KS4 girls played extremely well but narrowly lost in the final to St Bede's, Blackburn and came away with silver medals.
