School Games L2 Sports Hall Athletics Finals

The School Games Level 2 Sports Hall Athletics finals for Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 children took place at Clayton Green Leisure Centre on Friday 18th January with approximately 600 primary school children involved. Prior to these finals, 29 Chorley Primary Schools (572 children) had competed in 4 heats from November to early January in the Year 5/6 competition and 26 Primary Schools (491 children) in 4 heats in the Year 3/4 competition. The top 12 schools from the heats qualified for the finals at Clayton Green Leisure Centre.

After a very close but extremely noisy couple of competitions the results were as follows:-

Year 5/6

Gold - Euxton C of E

Silver - Balshaw Lane

Bronze - Christ Church Charnock Richard

Year 3/4

Gold - Euxton C of E

Silver - Christ Church Charnock Richard

Bronze - Anderton St Joseph's Catholic Primary

Euxton Church of England Primary will now go through to represent Chorley in the Level 3 School Games Competition on Tuesday 5th March at Blackpool Sports Centre.
