This year's inclusion festival took place at Clayton Green Sports Centre on Friday 13th November. The key stage 1 competition took place in the morning, while the key stage 2 competition took place in the afternoon.
In the morning we had 61 children representing 9 schools in the Chorley area. This session was a non-competitive introduction to Boccia and Kurling and focused on targeted rolling. All the children had lots of fun and took a certificate home with them.
In the afternoon there was 50 children representing 8 schools from across the Chorley area. The afternoon saw the schools taking part in a boccia competition (Go here for more information https://bocciaengland.org.uk/boccia/rules/). The schools were given a little time to practice before taking part in 4 games against the other schools. The final standings in the competition were as follows:-
1st - Lancaster Lane
2nd - Balshaw Lane + Primrose Hill
4th - Highfield
The above schools received medals, whilst all remaining competitors received certificates.
This was the busiest inclusion festival we have had to date and we would like to thank all the teaching staff who brought the children to the event.
