Some of the youngest school children across the Borough have been competing in a Festive-themed multi-skills competition. Reception and Year 1 pupils at each school were split into 4 teams and competed against each other to be the champions of their school.
Each team took part in an Elf Obstacle Race, Xmas Tree Bowling, Reindeer Dash (Slalom Run), and the Stocking Filler (Target Throwing) and accumulated points for each activity.
Points from all 4 teams at each school were added up to give a school total and allow a Chorley Festive Multiskills 2014 Champion School to be crowned.
The Chorley SSP Team and our elf helpers from the North Pole were really impressed with the fantastic effort put in by every child at every school, and rumour has it that the elves are already rushing to put their names down to take part next year instead of making toys in Santa’s workshop.
Congratulations to all the winning teams at each school, and our District Champions Bretherton Endowed Primary School (Small School Champions) and Euxton Church of England Primary School.
