DESCRIPTION:Tag Rugby Festival 🏉\nGet ready for a day of teamwork\, speed\, and fun at the Tag Rugby Festival! This event is a brilliant opportunity for pupils to get active and learn the basics of rugby in a safe and engaging way. We’re on a mission to build confidence and communication skills while promoting the core values of the sport: teamwork\, respect\, and enjoyment. It’s all about working together\, scoring tries\, and making great memories. Let’s get on the pitch! ✨ \nObjective: To increase confidence\, engagement\, and physical activity levels among pupils\, using tag rugby to promote teamwork\, respect\, and skill development. \nIntent: Engage new target groups of young people \nTarget Audience: Each school is invited to nominate a mixed-gender team of ten children from Yr7&8\, who are less active or less engaged in physical education. \nPlease select pupils who: \n\nHave not previously represented the school in a competitive capacity.\nAre not currently working at the expected level in PE.\nAre capable of working in a team.\nWill represent the school in a mature and respectful manner.\nAre willing to try new activities and learn.\n\nEvent Format: \n\nPupils will take part in a series of tag rugby games and skill-building activities\, such as passing drills\, running lines\, and defending.\nThe event will be a carousel of fun\, inclusive games focused on participation and skill development.\nAll necessary equipment will be provided.\n\nLogistics: \n\nPupils should arrive in school PE kit and trainers.\nSchools are responsible for their own transport and supervision.\nFor drop-off and pick-up\, please use the designated car park.\nWater only – no energy drinks or juice.
