DESCRIPTION:Primary Dance Competition 💃 🕺\nThe theme for 2026 is “Rhythms of Unity”: Celebrating the spirit of major sporting events happening all over the world where sport\, culture and imagination come together as one. Mascots\, the playful symbols of unity and celebration\, join dancers in weaving the rhythms\, colours and heritage from across the globe. Each performance reflects the heartbeat of sport- from the power of a sprint\, to the grace of gymnastics and the energy of a football match. We are all connected by shared energy\, determination and the joy of moving together. \nObjective: to develop confidence\, creativity and collaboration through performance and physical expression and provide an exciting theatre experience. \nIntent: Build social skills and connection (ie sense of belonging). \nTarget Audience: \nOne RSVP per school admits max 3 acts per school with a maximum of one group (e.g. 1 group + 2 solos\, or 1 solo + 2 duets) \nYou may include pupils who: \n\n\nEnjoy creative movement 🎭 \n\n\nWould benefit from the opportunity to perform and shine 🌟 \n\n\nShow commitment to rehearsal and great teamwork 🤝 \n\n\nWill represent the school positively and respectfully 🎓 \n\n\nEvent Format: \n\n\nDay rehearsal times tbc\, curtain up at 6:30pm \n\nSolos/ duets/ trios (Not required to follow the theme)\n\nGroup dance performances \n\n\nAll styles and genres welcome! \n\n\nEach act should: \n\n\nReflect the theme “Rhythms of Unity” \n\n\nShowcase pupils’ imagination\, interpretation\, and movement skills \n\n\nBe supported by appropriate music\, props\, and costumes \n\n\n Logistics: \n\n\nTeam Size: Minimum of 4\, Maximum of 30 for group entries \n\n\nRoutine Duration: \n\n\nSolos/Duets: 45 secs – 1 min 30 secs \n\n\nGroups: 2 mins – 3 mins 30 secs \n\n\n\n\nSingle or mixed gender \n\n\nSchools are responsible for sourcing and managing their own costumes & props (optional) \n\nCertificates for all participants\, medals for 1st\, 2nd & 3rd place in each category\, trophy for highest scoring team.\nWinners of the group category progress to the County Finals at Winter Gardens\, Blackpool 🎉\n\n

DESCRIPTION:Kurling Festival 🥌\n  \nGet ready to slide into fun and friendship at the Kurling Festival! 🥌 This event is all about building social skills and a sense of belonging. This is a chance to try a new sport\, connect with others\, and shine! It’s not just a game; it’s an opportunity to build friendships and confidence in a supportive\, fun environment. Come join us and find your team spirit! ✨ \n  \nObjective: To increase confidence\, engagement\, and physical activity levels among pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who are less active or less engaged in PE. 💪😊 \nIntent: Build social skills and connections (i.e sense of belonging) \nTarget Audience: Each school is invited to nominate mixed-gender\, teams of 8 pupils from Key Stage 2 who have SEND. \nPlease select pupils who: \n\nAre not currently working at the expected level in PE. 📈\nAre capable of working in a group. 🤝\nWill represent the school in a mature and respectful manner. 🎓\nAre willing to try new activities and learn. 🤔💡\n\nEvent Format:\n\nPupils will take part in a series of New Age Kurling sessions. 🎯\nThe event will be a carousel of fun\, inclusive Kurling challenges and games. 🤸\nAll equipment will be provided.\n\nLogistics:\n\nThe event will take place at the All Seasons Leisure Centre\, Chorley. 🗺️\nPupils should arrive in comfortable clothing and trainers. 👟👕\nSchools are responsible for their own transport and supervision. 🚌\nA full risk assessment will be provided in advance of the event. ⚠️📝\n\nKey Outcomes:\n\nImproved social skills and connections\, fostering a sense of belonging and teamwork. 🤝\nIncreased confidence and engagement in physical activity. 🌟\nAn enjoyable and memorable sporting experience for all participants. 🎉😃\n\nAddress:\nAll Seasons Leisure Centre\, Water Street\, PR7 1EX
